Bryan also co-founded Orthopedic Venture Partners, an investment fund which invests in disruptive orthopedic technologies; New Venture Advisors, a corporate development and venture services firm; and the Innovation Alliance, a coalition of high-technology companies focused on strengthening intellectual property rights. He has served as an executive at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and AmberWave Systems Corp., an advanced semiconductor spin-out from MIT. Bryan holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a JD from Notre Dame Law School and a BA from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.
Dr. Snyder is a practicing, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and a Founding Partner of the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. An active member of the Arthroscopy Assn. and the American Shoulder & Elbow Assn., with a primary focus on shoulder arthroscopy education, Dr. Snyder has been involved, as both an inventor and designer, in the development of more than 60 medical products and surgical procedures. He graduated from the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine and did his orthopedics residency at Orthopedic Hospital and USC in Los Angeles, Calif.
Dr. Poll is an experienced businessman and a clinically trained urologist. The founder & CEO of Minimally Invasive Devices, Inc., which developed the FloShield vision system, Dr. Poll is listed as the inventor on more than 19 issued and 10 pending patents. A graduate of Duke University and the Vanderbilt University Medical School, he completed his urology residence at Mass. General Hospital, where he was Chief Resident and an Instructor in Surgery at The Harvard Medical School.
An industry veteran with more than 25 years of sales and marketing leadership in the medical device space, Dave has held commercial leadership roles at Medtronic and Stryker and was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Invuity, which completed a successful IPO and was later acquired by Stryker. Dave earned his BA from SUNY Geneseo and his MBA from the University of Rochester.
Thurman is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of driving revenue growth in the medical device industry, with a strong focus on orthopedics, and has led numerous commercial teams. His résumé includes tenures as Regional VP of Sales at Smith & Nephew and VP of Sales & Marketing at Conventus Orthopaedics, as well as Colson Associate Cos., Acumed and MicroAire. Thurman is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and earned his MBA at the UVA’s Darden School.
John has specialized in the design and development of medical and consumer electronic devices throughout his career. He is experienced in all aspects of engineering, regulatory, compliance and manufacturing. Previously a Program Manager for DEKA Research & Development and Director of Hardware Engineering /Compliance Officer at Russound, John graduated from Keene State College with a degree in industrial engineering.
Larry has more than 25 years of medical device leadership experience in the orthopedics industry, including tenures with Smith & Nephew, Biomet, and Zimmer. Larry began his career as a Registered Nurse specializing in Surgery, earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Life Science and Nursing at Indiana State University. During the past 10 years, Larry developed and launched software platforms for surgical & sterile processing departments as the president of Periop Software Solutions.
Colleen has more than 30 years of healthcare experience in peri-operative operations and management. Her experience ranges from direct patient care as an RNFA to leadership roles in operations and process improvement. Colleen owns and operates a consulting company that assists healthcare systems in enhancing the efficiency of their surgical and sterile processing departments. She graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Nursing and later earned a BS and an MS in Science Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
